HULL OG SØNN
- COSTUME DESIGN - COSTUME MAKING -
-2021-
"Hull og Sønn" is a children's play. Based on the book by the same name, written by Frode Grytten and with illustrations from Marvin Halleraker.
The story is about Director Hull, proud owner of a family business, the hole factory Hull og Sønn. The Director is now becoming an old man, and with no children, he has no other choice than to sell the factory. The buyer of the factory is the Baron, a business man who wants to shut down the factory to build houses. With that decision, holes cease to exist and chaos ensues.
Yngve Seterås had the idea of making this book into a play for many years, and ironically, it was the Covid-pandemic that finally gave him and Jan Holden the time they needed to start creating theatre from this book.
With a message that hit us all close to home after the year 2020:
What happens when the things we know disappear and how are we left to deal with it?
